ADO Den Haag are back. The Dutch club secured promotion to the Eredivisie with a 1-0 win over Jong FC Utrecht, marking their return to the top flight after five years.

ADO Den Haag's promotion is no surprise, given their dominant form in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie - they've won 17 of their first 20 games. They're looking strong for a comeback in the top division.

ADO Den Haag secured a top-2 finish and direct promotion to the Eredivisie with a 1-0 win over Jong FC Utrecht, thanks to Evan Rottier's 50th-minute goal. This marks their return to the top flight after five years.

ADO Den Haag, the club from The Hague, had several close calls in their bid to return to the Eredivisie. They qualified for the playoffs in three of their first four seasons in the Eerste Divisie, but unfortunately, all three attempts ended in heartbreak. Excelsior knocked them out on penalties in 2022 and thumped them 7-1 in 2024. Telstar also dealt them a double blow in 2025, beating ADO twice in a row on their way to promotion.

ADO Den Haag, led by German manager Robin Peter, had a decent run in European football play-offs back in 2018. They were knocked out by Vitesse, largely thanks to Mason Mount's four-goal haul.

Cambuur Leeuwarden to Join ADO in Eredivisie

Cambuur Leeuwarden, another former Eredivisie side, is on the brink of promotion, sitting on 70 points with a game in hand, four points behind ADO. They could secure their spot in the top flight as early as Friday.
