Bayer Leverkusen made history with a 2-0 win over Olympiacos, securing their first-ever away knockout victory in the UEFA Champions League. Patrik Schick's quickfire double in the second half sealed the win, with his first goal coming on the hour mark after Ernest Poku's superb pass set him up.

Olympiacos had started strongly, with Mehdi Taremi slamming an early chance wide, but Leverkusen's defense held firm. Schick's second goal, a header from Alex Grimaldo's corner, came just three minutes later, putting Leverkusen in a commanding position

At the other end, Schick's close-range effort was denied, and Ernest Poku's shot was wide of the far post. It was Greece's first shot on target through Gelson Martins, but he expertly tipped around the post by the goalkeeper.

Konstantinos Tzolakis made an incredible save, diverting Ibrahim Maza's point-blank volley onto the bar. Poku then squandered a one-on-one chance, dragging his shot off target. Just before halftime, Ayoub El Kaabi's clever finish was ruled out for offside after a VAR check, sparing Leverkusen's blushes.

Olympiacos came out strong after the break, pushing for an early goal. Gelson Martins' 25-yard shot flew narrowly over, and Giulian Biancone's header ballooned off target.

Leverkusen could've been punished for those misses, but Alex Grimaldo's tame strike was straight at Tzolakis. They didn't have to wait much longer, though - Schick ran onto Poku's perfect pass and coolly slotted past the goalkeeper.

The game turned in Leverkusen's favour quickly, with Patrik Schick scoring his second of the night. Left unmarked from a corner, he flicked a header home for his fourth goal in four matches.

Olympiacos' poor run of form continues, with just one win in their last five games. Substitute Lorenzo Scipioni's late strike effectively ended the game, taking the sting out of the Red and Whites' performance. On the other hand, Leverkusen's Patrik Schick missed another chance, but his team has bounced back strong, winning six of their last seven games since losing to Olympiacos in January. This win also marks Leverkusen's first away knockout victory in the Champions League, ending a four-game winless streak in Greece.
