Udinese's hopes of an equaliser were dashed as Sassuolo sealed the win...

Sassuolo came from behind to beat Udinese 2-1 at the Stadio Friuli, thanks to Pinamonti's standout performance. This win marks back-to-back Serie A road victories for the Neroverdi.

These two teams have been pretty low-key this season, drifting into mid-table with no real push for Europe or threat of relegation.

Despite this, Bianconeri fans were feeling optimistic, and their team didn't disappoint - Oumar Solet gave them a 10th-minute lead. The Frenchman pounced on Jurgen Ekkelenkamp's pass, drove into the box, and fired home a right-footed strike past Arijanet Muric.

Kosta Runjaic's men were looking dangerous, with Lennon Miller and Nicolo Zaniolo creating more chances.

Sassuolo's attack was struggling, but Kristian Thorstvedt had a great chance to score. He received a fantastic pass from Josh Doig on the left, but his shot was straight at Maduka Okoye, much to his disappointment.

As the half progressed, Sassuolo's visitors started to gain momentum. Another opportunity fell to Thorstvedt, who headed wide at the near post from Armand Lauriente's corner.

Lauriente was on fire for Sassuolo, making a blazing run down the left and whipping in a cross that Pinamonti just missed. The combination worked out differently on the next play, with Pinamonti's clever backheel setting up Lauriente for the equaliser - he fired home a well-worked goal.

Fabio Grosso's side turned the game around in style, scoring again just two minutes later. Pinamonti headed in a brilliant cross from Ulisses Garcia, with the ball clipping the post on its way in.

Udinese thought they'd got back in it when Nicolo Bertola scored from a corner, but VAR said no - handball in the build-up.

Udinese's hopes of an equaliser were dashed as Sassuolo sealed the win, dealing the hosts consecutive top-flight defeats and dropping them a place to 10th. The Neroverdi, on the other hand, leapfrogged Udinese into ninth with these three points.
