Rangers dealt Hearts a blow with a 4-2 win, thanks to Youssef Chermiti's hat-trick. Celtic capitalized on Hearts' stumble, coming back from 2-0 down to beat Kilmarnock 3-2, tightening the Scottish Premiership title race.

Hearts, who've led the league for most of the season, now face a tough fight to become the first non-Old Firm side to win the title in 41 years.

But their advantage over Rangers, which once stood at 13 points, is down to two after Danny Rohl's men twice came from behind to win a thriller at Ibrox.

Chermiti's scoring streak against Hearts and Celtic continues – 5 of his 7 goals for Rangers have come against these two teams. Hearts' title hopes took a hit as they fell to Rangers, despite leading twice through Marc Leonard and Claudio Braga.

Rangers' win marks their first in six meetings against Celtic and Hearts this season.

Michael Steinwender's own goal levelled it for Rangers, and Chermiti seized on a loose ball to equalize again before HT.

Chermiti's header from Skov Olsen's cross put Rangers ahead just before the hour, sealing his hat-trick and Rangers' win.

Chermiti sealed the win for Rangers with a 90th-minute hat-trick goal, a calm finish on the counter-attack.

Celtic's late comeback at Rugby Park puts them just three points off the top, with a game in hand on both Rangers and Hearts.

The Hoops, who have won 13 of the last 14 Scottish Premiership titles, were headed towards a damaging defeat when goals from Tyreece John-Jules and Joe Hugill gave Killie a deserved half-time lead.

Interim Celtic boss Martin O'Neill responded with a triple change and was rewarded with a second-half display which extended his unbeaten domestic run during two caretakers spells in charge this season.

One of the substitutes, Sebastian Tounekti, curled a strike into the top corner to get Celtic going.

The visitors quickly levelled when Benjamin Nygren profited from some slack Kilmarnock defending from a long throw.

The drama unfolded in the 96th minute – Julian Araujo's left-footed stunner sealed the win for Celtic, sparking wild celebrations.

O'Neill's men have scored crucial late goals in three straight games, keeping their title hopes alive.

“It's not great for my health. It's really draining, honestly,” said the 73-year-old.

"Obviously, it's unbelievably satisfying to win, and to win in the manner in which we did at the end was terrific.”
