LeBron James' historic 21-year All-NBA streak ends due to a left foot arthritis issue. He'll miss his 18th game this season as the Lakers manage his injury.

James, who last missed an All-NBA squad in his rookie year (2003-04), won't be eligible for season awards. He's joined on the sidelines by Doncic, Reaves, and Smart.

Luka Doncic is missing his third straight game due to a hamstring strain, while Austin Reaves sits out the second night of a back-to-back to manage his calf injury that kept him sidelined for 19 games. Marcus Smart is also out with a sore right ankle. The Lakers have struggled with consistency this season, largely due to injuries.

After Monday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron James was straightforward about the team's shortcomings, refusing to use injuries as an excuse. He acknowledged that the Lakers need to sustain energy and effort for 48 minutes, something they struggled with against the Thunder.

“You want me to compare us to them,” he said. “That's a championship team right there. We're not.

“We can't sustain energy and effort for 48 minutes, and they can. That's why they won a championship.”

LeBron James scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half, but admitted he was feeling worn out. “I'm tired,” he said after the Lakers' loss to OKC.

James had 35+ minutes on court, and it showed.
