Osasuna shocks Real Madrid with a win, Raul Garcia scores stoppage-time winner. Real Madrid's 8-game winning streak ends with 2-1 loss to Osasuna.

Osasuna’s energy and ability to move the ball around with ease eventually resulted in a double substitution from their visitors...

Osasuna caused a major upset by beating Real Madrid 2-1 at the Estadio El Sadar, ending Los Blancos' 8-game winning streak. The match started cautiously with Real Madrid dominating possession (72%), but things changed around the 15th minute when Vinicius Junior and co. sparked controversy, getting the home crowd fired up.

Osasuna took the lead in the 34th minute via a penalty from Ante Budimir after Thibaut Courtois fouled him. Real Madrid equalized in the 73rd minute with Vinicius Jr.'s goal, but Osasuna won thanks to Raul Garcia's stoppage-time winner, beating Raul Asencio to score the decisive 2-1.

Ante Budimir had Osasuna’s first shot at goal shortly after, and he was only a whisker away with a curled effort that had Thibaut Courtois beaten.

The Belgian then pulled off a world-class one-handed save after a whipped ball into the box caused confusion, and Budimir hit the post with a header from just inside the area.

Vinicius' skills, Kylian Mbappe's long-range shot, and David Alaba's powerful strike didn't quite seal the deal for Real Madrid. Instead, Thibaut Courtois was adjudged to have fouled Ante Budimir in the box, and the Croatian scored from the spot with a simple left-footed finish, putting Osasuna 1-0 up.

Both sides spent much of the first 10 minutes of the second half trading blows without a hint of a goal, until Arda Guler flashed over a right-footed exocet that had Sergio Herrera floundering.

Osasuna’s energy and ability to move the ball around with ease eventually resulted in a double substitution from their visitors, and one of them, Trent Alexander-Arnold, almost immediately injected the pace and purpose that had been missing from Real’s play.

Kylian Mbappe hit a beauty into the top corner, but the offside flag was raised. Still, it showed Real Madrid were getting back into the game.

Federico Valverde's stunning run and cross set up Vinícius for an easy tap-in, equalizing for Real Madrid. The game was on fire, but Javi Galan's block denied Kylian Mbappe a quick second. Then, in the final minute, Raul García sealed the win with an astonishing individual finish.

Real Madrid's 24-game unbeaten streak against Osasuna has come to an end, with their last win dating back to January 2011. This defeat hands Barcelona an opportunity to take the top spot when they face Levante on Sunday.

The late goal also ended Real Madrid's 24-game unbeaten run in H2Hs against Los Rojillos (D7, W18), which had dated back to January 2011. More importantly, the defeat offers Barcelona an opportunity to usurp Los Blancos when the Blaugrana face Levante on Sunday
