PSV wins 3-1, with goals from Perisic, Saibari, and Man...

PSV Eindhoven came out on top in the battle of struggling teams, beating Heracles Almelo 3-1 and putting their relegation-threatened opponents in deeper trouble. The win puts PSV 17 points clear at the top of the Eredivisie table, with Feyenoord facing FC Twente on Sunday.

The victory keeps PSV in prime position to defend their title, while Heracles Almelo remains four points adrift of safety.

PSV got a flying start in Almelo when Rhys Bozinovski's foul on Sergino Dest earned them a penalty. Ivan Perisic stepped up and converted, handing PSV the lead in the 9th minute

Ismael Saibari showed off his skills with a stunning goal, doubling PSV's lead. He picked up a loose ball, took it to the edge, and curled it into the top corner.

Heracles Almelo's best chance of the half came from Ajdin Hrustic's free kick, which tested PSV goalkeeper Matej Kovar.

PSV kept piling on the pressure, and it paid off just before halftime when Dennis Man's free kick sailed past Remko Pasveer, putting the game beyond Heracles' reach.

Pasveer made up for it in the second half, preventing Perisic, Ricardo Pepi, and Saibari from adding to PSV's commanding lead, which was never put under pressure by the relegation-threatened hosts.

Heracles had little to play for in the final stages of the match, but still accounted for the moment of the day when Lequincio Zeefuik fired in a worldie in the top left corner out of nowhere.

It was a disappointing night for Heracles Almelo, as PSV's win puts them in an uphill battle against relegation. They're now four points behind Telstar and five points behind NAC Breda, making their fight for survival tougher.
