Australian TV reporter Danika Mason apologizes after slurring her way through a live broadcast from the Winter Olympics.

“I shouldn't have had a drink, and especially in these conditions...”

Australian TV reporter Danika Mason has apologized for a rather embarrassing on-air moment at the Winter Olympics. She went viral for slurring her way through a live broadcast, and Mason admitted she'd “had a drink” before the update.

The Channel Nine broadcaster took to social media to apologize for her behavior, saying it wasn't professional. Fans are wondering if she'll get a second chance at reporting from the Olympics.

Danika Mason's live broadcast was a wild ride - she stumbled over words, chatted about coffee prices in Italy, and even brought up iguanas in the US, leaving her co-hosts baffled.

Veteran broadcaster Karl Stefanovic tried to play it down, saying it's tough to report from cold climates, but let's be real, Mason was having a moment.

“I just want to take a moment, if that's okay, just to apologise,”  Mason said at the end of her update on Thursday.

“I also wanted to thank everyone who has reached out. I'm just a little bit embarrassed. I totally misjudged a situation.

“I shouldn't have had a drink, and especially in these conditions -- it's cold, we've got altitude, and not having had dinner probably didn't help as well.

"But I want to take full responsibility. It's not the standard that I set for myself.”

Karl Stefanovic tried to brush it off, telling Danika Mason: “Don't worry about it. Let's move on. You're a legend.” Trying to save the moment, but we all know Mason's got some explaining to do.
