Fikayo Tomori handled the ball in the penalty area, prompting referee Daniele Chiffi to award Torino a penalty. Nikola Vlašić scored the spot kick, beating Mike Maignan to give Torino a 10th-minute lead.

Torino pushed their advantage seven minutes later, with Vlašić setting up Duván Zapata for a powerful goal that went past Maignan, leaving AC Milan stunned.

AC Milan came out strong in the second half, but Torino's Franco Israel made crucial saves to keep them in the game. Israel's double save denied Davide Bartesaghi and Samuele Ricci, keeping the scores level.

Milan soon took the lead, though. Christian Pulisic, just introduced, scored his sixth Serie A goal, calmly finishing a cross in the 67th minute to level the game 2-2.
