Valencia extended their unbeaten run to four games with a thrilling 1-1 draw against Sevilla, thanks to Hugo Duro's last-minute equalizer. The Mestalla was buzzing, with both teams showcasing their passion despite their lowly league positions.

Sevilla had taken the lead, but Valencia's determination paid off, earning them a valuable point.

Arnaut Danjuma had the first presentable opportunity of the game, but held onto the ball for far too long before seeing his shot blocked.

The energy and application from Sevilla’s league debutant Oso at both ends of the pitch allowed his colleagues to take control of the match, and Akor Adams’ two efforts when well placed were further evidence of the Andalusians' dominance.

Valencia's tactics seemed to frustrate Sevilla, as they played a scrappy game, disrupting the visitors' attacking flow with frequent free-kicks. This approach, however, didn't benefit Valencia, with Hugo Duro struggling to get into the Sevilla box.

The second half saw a shift in momentum, as Sevilla's Peque Fernández began to dictate play, and Valencia became more adventurous, pushing forward.

Lucien Agoumé had a glaring chance to score, but his shot sailed over the goal and into the stands, epitomizing the poor finishing from both teams. The opener finally came from a defensive mistake, as Oso's excellent cross was inadvertently turned into his own net by Cesar Tarrega just before the hour mark.

Belatedly, the hosts began to show much more urgency, and Thierry Correira’s run to the near post almost brought them an equaliser.

Valencia sub Lucas Beltran will feel aggrieved not to have earned his side a penalty, though his efforts certainly gave Los Che some late impetus.

As they poured forward, they left themselves light at the back, but they eventually found a goal through Duro's injury-time strike.

This draw feels like a win for Valencia, who've failed to win any of their last 43 LaLiga games when conceding first. Sevilla, on the other hand, have only won one of their last seven league matches, but remain mid-table.
