Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a serious thigh injury. The Serbia international was substituted after just 30 minutes in Juventus' 2-1 win over Cagliari on Saturday, and further tests revealed a high-grade injury to his left adductor longus muscle.

Vlahovic's absence is a significant blow to Juventus, who are currently seventh in Serie A and trying to close the gap with leaders Inter Milan. The 25-year-old has been in top form, scoring six goals in 17 appearances this season. Coach Luciano Spalletti confirmed Vlahovic will be out for “some time,” with reports suggesting he could miss two to three months.

“The tests revealed a high-grade injury to the muscle-tendon junction of the left adductor longus. Further medical consultations will be necessary to determine the most appropriate treatment,” Juventus added.

Dusan Vlahovic has been on fire, scoring twice and getting an assist in his last six appearances for Juventus. Unfortunately, his impressive streak is being put on hold as he's suffered a serious thigh muscle injury, which will keep him out for at least two months.

Juventus, currently seventh-placed, is trying to close the five-point gap with Serie A leaders Inter Milan. They're unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions, but will be without Vlahovic for their upcoming Coppa Italia match against Udinese on Tuesday and Sunday's league clash at Napoli.
