Four goals in 20 minutes, and what a thrilling finish it was. Newcastle's 13-game unbeaten run at home came to an end as Tottenham fought back for a point.
They remained on the front foot, but were left stunned when their opponents eked out an equaliser seven minutes...
Tottenham's fortunes are looking up under new boss Thomas Frank, as they managed to snatch a point from Newcastle United. The game was intense, with four goals scored in the final 20 minutes, and it was Cristian Romero who stole the show, scoring a brace in the dying minutes to earn Tottenham a point.
Newcastle started strong, looking sharp after their midweek win at Everton. However, Tottenham's resilience paid off, and they managed to come back from a goal down to level the game. The Magpies had their chances, but Spurs' defense held firm, and Romero's late goals secured a point for his team.
Lewis Hall and Harvey Barnes were causing the visitors all sorts of problems, with Lewis Miley having the first shot on target for the hosts. The young midfielder's effort was well-directed, but Guglielmo Vicario was equal to it. The home team continued to push, and Joelinton came close to breaking the deadlock, his shot from a tight angle hitting the far post.
The first half was a bit of a stalemate, but Newcastle came out firing in the second, with Harvey Barnes causing problems for the Spurs defense. He had a great chance, but Vicario made a solid save. The Magpies kept pushing, and it paid off when Bruno Guimaraes scored a beauty, placing the ball into the bottom corner with 20 minutes to go.

Newcastle's pressure continued, and they had a couple of close calls, including a Kevin Danso clearance off the line. The hosts were looking more and more likely to score, and when they did, it was a great goal from Guimaraes. Spurs had to dig deep to get back into it.
Newcastle were by far the better team and kept plugging away, finally getting their reward when Bruno Guimaraes pounced on a loose clearance, opened up his body and brilliantly placed into the bottom corner with 20 minutes to go.
They remained on the front foot, but were left stunned when their opponents eked out an equaliser seven minutes later with their first shot on target, as skipper Cristian Romero dived in front of Dan Burn to meet Kudus’ cross, finding the net with a thumping header.
The drama wasn't over yet. A late penalty was awarded, and Anthony Gordon stepped up to score, putting Newcastle ahead 2-1. But the Magpies couldn't hold on, as Cristian Romero popped up with an incredible overhead kick in stoppage time, securing a 2-2 draw for Spurs.
Tottenham's perseverance paid off, with Romero's acrobatic goal salvaging a point. Meanwhile, Newcastle's six-match winning home run came to an abrupt end. The Magpies had dominated the game, but couldn't hold on for the win.
