Afimico Pululu's 51st-minute strike was enough for Jagiellonia Bialystok to beat KuPS 1-0 and inflict the Finnish side's first loss in the Conference League league phase. Jagiellonia are unbeaten in their UECL campaign, with two wins and two draws.

Jagiellonia had a great start to the game, and they nearly scored in the first four minutes. Pululu had a shot saved by Kreidl, setting the tone for a tense encounter. The hosts were looking sharp, and they eventually got the goal they were pushing for.

Taras Romanczuk also had a chance to score, but his rebounded effort missed the target, just like Pululu's had earlier. Stompieks were really pushing hard and creating chances, but Kuopio's keeper Kreidl was doing well to keep them at bay.

As the first half went on, Stompieks kept pouring forward. Dimitris Rallis had a shot from range, but Kreidl was equal to it. Then, Norbert Wojtuszek had a great solo run, and it looked like he might score a real cracker. But Kreidl was equal to it again, and the game went into halftime still goalless.

Jagiellonia's pressure finally paid off when Afimico Pululu's deflected strike slipped past Kreidl, six minutes after the restart. The goal was a result of Jagiellonia's relentless attacking, and it gave them the lead.

Jagiellonia tried to put the game to bed, but it took them a while to create another clear chance. Bartlomiej Wdowik had a shot, but Kreidl was able to gather it. The hosts were still pushing hard, but KuPS were looking for a way back into the game.

KuPS's lack of shots on target meant Jagiellonia had a relatively easy win. The win keeps Jaga's UECL campaign on track, although they're currently outside the top spot on goal difference.

KuPS's first loss of the season doesn't drop them out of the play-off positions, but they'll be keen to bounce back. As the reigning champions of Finland, they won't want to risk dropping points in their remaining matches.
