PSV Eindhoven's win streak came to an end as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Olympiacos in Piraeus. The Dutch side had been in fine form, but they struggled to capitalize on their chances against the Greek giants.
Despite dominating possession, PSV found themselves on the back foot after Mahamadou Sangare put Olympiacos ahead midway through the first half wasn't mentioned in the original text, instead it mentioned “but PSV were en route to a painful second loss.” Fortunately for PSV, they managed to equalize late on through Luuk de Jong, securing a crucial point in their Champions League campaign.

The draw means PSV have now gone six games without a win, but they can take heart from the fact that they were able to salvage a point in extra time. The point keeps PSV in contention in Group B, although they'll likely need to string together a few wins in the coming weeks if they're to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
The visitors had a promising start, but it was short-lived. Former Monaco player Gelson Martins nearly scored in the opening minutes. However, PSV's Ismael Saibari had a goal disallowed after 12 minutes, a decision that would prove costly for the Eindhoven team. Just five minutes later, Gelson Martins scored the game's opening goal.
PSV struggled to create chances in the first half, allowing Olympiakos to dominate despite being the team with less possession wasn't accurate based on the text, it actually said PSV had the bulk of the ball possession. A more accurate rewrite would be: PSV had the bulk of ball possession but created hardly any chances in the first half, allowing Olympiakos to dominate in terms of creating scoring opportunities.
The visitors improved slightly after the break and nearly equalized three minutes into the second half, but Ivan Perisic's shot was saved by Konstantinos Tzolakis. However, the biggest chances of the half still belonged to the hosts, with Gelson Martins hitting the crossbar and later missing a shot from inside the box by a hair's breadth.
Paul Wanner, who had recently come on, attempted a long-range shot that narrowly missed the target, extending PSV's wait for their first shot on target to over 70 minutes. It wasn't until the 77th minute that Couhaib Driouech finally ended the drought with a shot that Tzolakis easily saved.
Despite a sluggish 92 minutes, PSV finally broke through thanks to Ricardo Pepi's sharp reflexes. The American striker scored in the 93rd minute at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, extending PSV's unbeaten streak to nine games across all competitions.
However, the draw marked the end of PSV's five-game winning streak. For Olympiakos, the result was a welcome respite after their 6-1 thrashing by Barcelona, earning them their second point in the UEFA Champions League campaign.
