Fiorentina's crisis deepened with a humiliating 1-0 home defeat to Lecce, putting coach Stefano Pioli's job at serious risk. The team's traumatic start to the season has seen them manage just four draws and five defeats in Serie A.

The Viola's struggles continued despite Edin Dzeko forming a new partnership with Moise Kean. Lecce, meanwhile, were looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats to Udinese and Napoli, and they did just that with a well-deserved win. Riccardo Sottil's return to the bench against his parent club added some much-needed depth to the Lecce squad.

Medon Berisha's clinical finish in the 23rd minute proved to be the difference-maker for Lecce, as Fiorentina's attacks were consistently thwarted by Lecce's defense and goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone. Despite Moise Kean's best efforts, Fiorentina were unable to find an equalizer, and the 1-0 defeat left them reeling.

Lecce dominated the early stages and took the lead through a well-executed counter-attack. Medon Berisha sparked the move when he won the ball from Cher Ndour, and Berisha capped off the move with a clinical volley at the back post, courtesy of Tete Morente's precise cross from the right.

Juventus attempted to respond, with Moise Kean unleashing a shot that was expertly parried by Wladimiro Falcone. The rebound fell to another Juventus player, but Luca Ranieri was flagged offside, denying his team a chance to equalize.

Dzeko's header from Niccolò Fortini's cross flew straight at Falcone, while Ranieri's attempt at the back post sailed over the bar. Kialonda Gaspar had a golden opportunity to score from Berisha's corner but failed to capitalize on the chance. Stefano Pioli's frustration was palpable, prompting him to make a drastic change by replacing the entire midfield trio at halftime.

The match remained intense, with Tiago Gabriel putting his face in harm's way to block a powerful strike from Kean. Fiorentina's persistence almost paid off in the 79th minute when they thought they had scored, only to be denied by an acrobatic, one-handed save from Falcone right on the line. The rebound fell to Kean, keeping the Fiorentina hopes alive.

Stefano Pioli made a bold move by replacing the entire midfield trio at halftime, a clear indication of his dissatisfaction with the team's performance.

In a thrilling encounter, Fiorentina's hopes of scoring were consistently thwarted by Lecce's goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone, who made an incredible one-handed save on a glancing header in the 79th minute. The ball landed at the feet of Moise Kean, but Fiorentina couldn't capitalize on the opportunity.

A penalty appeal was initially granted when Ranieri went down under minimal contact from Santiago Pierotti, but the decision was overturned after a VAR review. The review showed that Ranieri had slowed down and allowed Pierotti to make contact, losing his footing in the process.

In the dying moments of the game, Moise Kean had a chance to salvage a draw, but his header flew into the ground. Simon Sohm had a worse miss, blasting a loose ball over the bar from point-blank range. The final whistle brought an end to Fiorentina's misery, but not before the players were subjected to angry jeers from the home crowd as they left the pitch in defeat.
