Feyenoord midfielder Luciano Valente has earned his first call-up to the Netherlands squad for their final World Cup qualifiers against Poland and Lithuania. The 22-year-old joined Feyenoord from FC Groningen this summer and has impressed with his performances, securing a starting spot in Robin van Persie's midfield.

Valente's selection is a testament to his strong form at club level, and he'll be looking to make a mark in the Dutch squad. He'll be joined by fellow Feyenoord player Quinten Timber, who returns to the squad after missing the previous international window due to injury.

Lutsharel Geertruida is back in the Netherlands squad, joining forces with Valente, after missing out on the World Cup qualifiers in September and October. He's filling the gap left by Jeremie Frimpong, who suffered a hamstring injury during Liverpool's 5-1 Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt in October. Geertruida, currently on loan at Sunderland, will be looking to make an impact with the Oranje team.

Matthijs de Ligt, the Manchester United defender, and Noa Lang, the Napoli forward, have been added to the Netherlands squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. On the other hand, AZ's Mexx Meerdink and Inter's Stefan de Vrij have been dropped by manager Ronald Koeman.

The Netherlands will face Poland, currently second in the group, on November 14th, followed by a home match against Lithuania on November 17th, which will be their final FIFA World Cup qualifier.
