Toulouse snatched a dramatic 2-2 draw against Marseille, denying OM the chance to go top of Ligue 1. Marseille's three-game winning streak came to an end, and they had to settle for a point.

Marseille were left cursing a lack of defensive solidity, having conceded a late equalizer. Toulouse's late goal was a cruel blow, and OM will be kicking themselves for dropping points at home.

Emersonn's stunning goal was straight out of Messi's playbook! The Toulouse striker left Marseille's defense in the dust with his lightning-fast pace, chasing down a long ball and beating Geronimo Rulli with a clever finish.

Marseille's midweek Champions League win over Newcastle United seemed to have drained their energy, as they looked sluggish and disjointed against Toulouse. Their struggles were evident, and Toulouse capitalized on their mistakes.

Marseille's first half was underwashing, with their first real chance coming in the 30th minute, but Timothy Weah's effort went off target. Toulouse, on the other hand, were comfortable, hardly threatened OM's goal.

Roberto De Zerbi made a change at halftime, bringing on Robinio Vaz, who's already scored four league goals this season. Marseille needed a spark, and Vaz's introduction was meant to inject some pace and creativity into the attack.

But it would be Ligue 1 leading marksman this season, Mason Greenwood, who registered Marseille’s first meaningful effort on target after 49 minutes. It was, however, a routine save for Guillaume Restes to make.

The Toulouse goalkeeper was forced into making a more distinguished save three minutes later, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s effort from just outside the area brilliantly redirected away from the back of the net.

Toulouse were on the brink of a shock win, but Marseille snatched it back from the jaws of defeat. Aron Donnum's audacious chip hit the bar, and the visitors thought they'd done enough, but a mix-up between Restes and Sidibe gifted Igor Paixao an easy equalizer in the 66th minute.

Marseille thought they'd turned the game around eight minutes later, with Hojbjerg heading home Aubameyang's delivery. The hosts were ecstatic, but Toulouse refused to give up, and they had a chance to win it late on.

Toulouse snatched a dramatic equalizer in the 92nd minute, with Santiago Hidalgo's header flying past Rulli to secure a 2-2 draw. Marseille had held on to a 2-1 lead, but Toulouse's late strike denied them the win.

The dropped points are painful for Marseille, especially since PSG lost at Monaco earlier today, handing them the chance to go top of Ligue 1. Now, they'll have to settle for second place, at least for the time being.
