Snoop Dogg weighs in on Ange Postecoglou's return to Celtic

Snoop Dogg joins the conversation on Ange Postecoglou's potential return to Celtic, backing the Australian manager's comeback.

“Celtic is a huge club and fans want to see the best players playing in this great stadium. All the owners have got to do is ask...”

US rapper Snoop Dogg has thrown his support behind Ange Postecoglou's potential return to Celtic, urging the club to 'bring Ange back'. Postecoglou's name has been linked with the Celtic job following Brendan Rodgers' departure.

Rodgers was let go due to a string of disappointing results, including a shocking Champions League qualifying loss to Kairat Almaty and a 3-1 league defeat to Hearts. Celtic's former boss Martin O'Neill took over as interim manager and has led the team to a 4-0 win over Falkirk and a 3-1 victory over Rangers in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals.

Snoop Dogg, a long-time Celtic fan and investor in Swansea City, expressed his admiration for Postecoglou's work at Celtic, where he won two Scottish Premiership titles and a domestic treble. The rapper even hinted at the possibility of investing in Celtic, saying “Celtic is a huge club and fans want to see the best players playing in this great stadium. All the owners have got to do is ask.”

Following the departure of Brendan Rodgers, Celtic appointed Martin O'Neill as interim manager, and he has led the team to impressive victories, including a 4-0 thrashing of Falkirk and a 3-1 win over arch-rivals Rangers in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals.

Snoop Dogg, a renowned hip-hop artist and die-hard Celtic fan, has thrown his weight behind Ange Postecoglou, advocating for his return to the club. Postecoglou was recently sacked by Nottingham Forest and is now available to take the reins. During his tenure at Celtic from 2021 to 2023, Postecoglou led the team to two Scottish Premiership titles and a domestic treble in his second season, leaving an indelible mark on the club's history.

“I love sport, and in sport players leave, coaches leave, and you move on,” Snoop Dogg told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

“You got to give Martin O'Neill big respect, he is coming back when we need him. I think you got to bring Ange back.

“The club are going to do what they are going to do, but the fans would love to see him back.”

Snoop Dogg, a sports enthusiast, has added his voice to the speculation surrounding Ange Postecoglou's potential return to Celtic. The rapper, who recently became an investor in Championship club Swansea City, expressed his interest in investing in Celtic, saying, “Something I have talked about in the past and if the opportunity was right I would be down for it.”

“Celtic is a huge club and fans want to see the best players playing in this great stadium. All the owners have got to do is ask,” he added.
