Bayern Munich snatched a thrilling 3-1 win over St. Pauli, thanks to late goals from Luis Diaz and Nicolas Jackson. The Bavarians had trailed 1-0 at halftime, but Raphael Guerreiro's equalizer just before the break set up a nail-biting second half.

St. Pauli had taken the lead through Andreas Hountondji's sixth-minute strike, but Bayern's relentless pressure finally paid off in stoppage time. Diaz headed in the winner, and Jackson sealed the win with a composed finish.

The victory extends Bayern's lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to eight points, with RB Leipzig in second. St. Pauli, meanwhile, remains stuck in the relegation zone, having lost their ninth consecutive league game.

Bayern Munich's mood wasn't exactly lifted by their poor start against St. Pauli, who shocked them with a sixth-minute goal at the Allianz Arena. Mathias Pereira Lage's clever pass set up Andréas Hountondji for the opener, leaving Manuel Neuer no chance. Unfortunately, Hountondji had to leave the pitch soon after due to injury.

Bayern quickly set about levelling the scoreline as Lennart Karl curled a left-foot shot against the far post, before Tom Bischof saw his deflected effort bounce off the upright.

After surviving those scares, the visitors looked set to scrape through to the break until their luck eventually ran out on the stroke of half time.

St. Pauli defended resolutely, thwarting Bayern's attacks and keeping them at bay. Even the woodwork got involved, with Harry Kane's fierce strike hitting the far post after a corner was mishandled by Nikola Vasilj.

Bayern Munich thought they were running out of options, but Luis Díaz had other plans. He broke St. Pauli's hearts in the 93rd minute, heading in Joshua Kimmich's cross to give Bayern the lead. And just when it seemed like St. Pauli could catch a break, Nicolas Jackson sealed the deal with a calm finish, making it 3-1 and extending Bayern's lead at the top of the table to eight points.
