Mjällby continued their remarkable season by becoming the first team in Allsvenskan history to surpass 70 points, finishing with a convincing 5-0 victory over already-relegated Värnamo. This impressive win took their total points to 72, showcasing their dominance in the league.


In a crucial match for their survival hopes, Degerfors staged a comeback to draw with Hammarby, keeping their automatic survival chances alive. Meanwhile, Mjallby remained focused on making history, and after being awarded a penalty in the 11th minute, Elliot Stroud took the opportunity to put his team ahead.


Mjällby's lead grew as Elliot Stroud scored his second goal of the match just seven minutes in. Ludvig Thorell delivered a precise through ball that split the Värnamo defense, putting Stroud through on goal, and he once again showed his clinical finishing.


Varnamo's hopes of a comeback were dealt a severe blow when Souleymane Coulibaly received a second yellow card and was sent off just four minutes into the second half. Mjällby capitalized on the numerical advantage, winning a penalty, which Stroud confidently converted to complete his hat-trick, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Degerfors' survival hopes now hinge on a win against Brommapojkarna on the final day, coupled with Norrkoping losing to Göteborg, to secure their Allsvenskan spot. Norrköping currently sit two points above Degerfors, making the final matchday crucial for the latter's fate.
