Vissel Kobe secured a 1-0 victory over Ulsan HD, reclaiming the top spot in the Asian Champions League Elite's eastern league phase standings. The reigning J-League champions dominated the match, with Jean Patric scoring the decisive goal in the 58th minute.

The win marked Vissel Kobe's third victory in four games, showcasing their resilience after a 4-3 loss to Gangwon FC in the previous round. With this result, Kobe takes the lead in the 12-team standings as the league phase reaches its midway point.

The top eight finishers in both West and East Asia will advance to the knockout rounds in March. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and final will take place in Saudi Arabia in April.

Kobe dominated the match at Misaki Park Stadium until the 58th minute when Patric scored for the Japanese side with a left-footed effort. Earlier, Yuya Osako had a shot clip the top of the crossbar in the 35th minute. Patric's goal proved to be the winner as Kobe secured the three points.

Johor Darul Ta'zim moved up to second place after a 3-1 win over Shanghai Shenhua, securing their second consecutive victory in the competition. The Malaysians, led by Xisco Munoz, struggled to break down Shenhua's defense in the first half, with goalkeeper Bao Yaxiong making key saves to keep his team in the game.

However, three minutes after halftime, Johor Darul Ta'zim took the lead when Jonathan Silva scored, finishing off a pass from Arif Aiman across the goalmouth. The hosts went on to win the match 3-1, lifting them to second place in the standings.

Oscar Arribas scored his second goal of the match in the 63rd minute, doubling the lead with a fine strike into the bottom corner after controlling the ball on his chest.

Shenhua's hopes of salvaging a point were revived when Saulo Minero scored a penalty with 19 minutes remaining. However, Silva sealed the win with a powerful shot into the top corner, scoring his second goal of the match with just three minutes left to play.
