Udinese secured their first home win since March 1, capitalizing on Lecce's poor finishing compared to their own clinical efforts from Jesper Karlstrom, Keinan Davis, and Adam Buksa. The Friulani had struggled to find their footing after a promising start to the season, managing just two points from their last four matches.

Nicolò Zaniolo led the line for Udinese, while Thomas Kristensen remained out injured. Lecce, meanwhile, were riding a three-match unbeaten streak, despite dealing with several injuries, including Riccardo Sottil, Filip Marchwinski, Matias Perez, and Gaby Jean. Francesco Camarda and Lameck Banda recovered from flu symptoms to make the bench.

Udinese took the lead when a corner was not cleared effectively, so Jesper Karlstrom broke down the left and nutmegged Wladimiro Falcone from a very tight angle with the inside of the right boot.

It was nearly 2-0 just four minutes later, as Nicolò Zaniolo swept a finish first-time from 14 yards that smacked against the crossbar.

Wladimiro Falcone made a crucial save by smothering a Keinan Davis effort after the ball was gifted to Udinese. The hosts then doubled their lead when Mohammed Atta beat Tiago Gabriel down the left and delivered a cross that Davis headed home unmarked.

Lecce responded when Nikola Stulic's shot flew into the side netting. However, the visitors got back into contention with a stunning long-range free kick from Medon Berisha that caught Maduka Okoye off guard, flying into the top corner.

Maduka Okoye, returning from a lengthy ban for betting irregularities, looked rusty as he completely missed a corner, which took a deflection off Saba Goglichidze and Nicolò Bertola, threatening an own goal. Lecce pushed for a goal, with Konan N'Dri curling a shot off target from the edge of the area and Santiago Pierotti heading wide from a promising position.

Lecce pushed forward in search of a goal, but it was Udinese who struck again in stunning fashion. Catching Lecce off guard from their own corner, a swift counterattack ended with Bayo setting up Adam Buksa, who beat the onrushing Falcone to score his first Serie A goal.

In the end, Konan N'Dri did pull one back for Lecce with a late consolation goal, cutting inside to curl a left-footed shot into the top corner. However, it was too little, too late, as Udinese held on for a 3-1 win.
