Lazio remained in the bottom half of the Serie A table after a goalless draw with Pisa. The result saw Alberto Gilardino's side move out of the relegation zone, although they are still searching for their first Serie A victory in over 34 years.


Pisa's struggles in front of goal continued, with the hosts failing to score at home in Serie A this season. Matteo Tramoni had a promising chance to break the deadlock in the seventh minute, but his opportunity went begging, leaving Pisa's scoring woes unresolved.


Pisa's frustrations mounted in the 25th minute as Juan Cuadrado's excellent left-wing delivery found Idrissa Toure inside the penalty area, but the midfielder shockingly missed the target with a close-range effort.




The visitors gained momentum after the half-hour mark, with Gustav Isaksen causing trouble for Pisa's defense following a great run and lay-off from Tramoni. Lazio's pressure paid off moments later as Toma Basic's rasping long-range shot hit the post, narrowly avoiding a breakthrough goal.




The second half was a dull affair, with neither team offering much quality. One of the few notable moments came when Gustav Isaksen had a close-range shot that curled wide, potentially a missed opportunity for the visitors.




As the match seemed to be drifting towards a tedious conclusion, substitute Stefano Moreo provided a rare spark. In the 73rd minute, he forced a smart save from Ivan Provedel with a header from a corner, keeping the game goalless and briefly stirring the home crowd into life.


The near-miss seemed to spark the hosts, with Toure's headed effort shortly after narrowly sailing wide of the post. Despite a hard-fought match, neither team could find the breakthrough, and the game ended goalless.


While Pisa fans will be relieved to have moved out of the relegation zone, concerns about the team's lack of firepower will persist, with just five goals scored in nine league games. Meanwhile, Lazio extended their unbeaten run to five matches, moving up two positions to 11th with the point earned on the road.
