In the postseason, Bregman went 3-for-10 (.300) with a notable double and an RBI, walking three times. This capped off an exciting season for the 31-year-old, who will enter his 11th season in 2026 with a new team.
The Red Sox signed Alex Bregman to play third base, shifting Rafael Devers to designated hitter. However, tensions flared when Devers was asked to play first base after Triston Casas' injury, which he refused.
The controversy ultimately led to Devers being traded to the San Francisco Giants. Bregman's status with the team is now uncertain, with his agent hinting at potential openness to negotiating an extension amid speculation about his future with the Red Sox.
