Pakistan sealed a thrilling 93-run win over South Africa in the first Test, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. Noman Ali's impressive 10-wicket haul and Shaheen Shah Afridi's crucial late wickets were the key factors in Pakistan's dominance.

South Africa, resuming at 51-2 overnight, struggled against Pakistan's spin attack, ultimately being bowled out for 183 runs. Shaheen Afridi claimed the last three wickets, finishing off the Proteas' resistance and securing a convincing victory for Pakistan.

The tourists struggled on the slow and deteriorating wicket, but Dewald Brevis provided a glimmer of hope with a quick-fire half-century. However, it wasn't enough to change the course of the game.

South Africa's chances took a hit when Tony de Zorzi, the century-maker from the first innings, fell early to Shaheen Shah Afridi, leaving them to chase a target of 277 to extend their 10-test winning streak.

The rare wicket for a seamer highlighted the spin-friendly conditions, where neither team relied heavily on their pace bowlers. Noman Ali's viciously turning delivery proved too much for Tristan Stubbs, who lasted just eight balls.

Dewald Brevis, known for his aggressive batting in limited-overs cricket, brought his explosive approach to the Test arena. In his third Test appearance, the 22-year-old continued to showcase his talent for big hitting.

Dewald Brevis atoned for his first-ball dismissal in the first innings with a spirited 54 off as many balls, putting pressure on Pakistan's bowlers and briefly reviving South Africa's hopes.

Brevis and Ryan Rickelton's 73-run stand gave South Africa a glimmer of hope, but Noman Ali ultimately broke the partnership with a well-crafted delivery that clean-bowled Brevis.

Rickelton's departure for 45, caught on a leading edge to Sajid's turning ball, left the tourists reeling at 137-6 at lunch. The tail offered little resistance, and Afridi sealed the win with 4-33, while Noman Ali finished with 4-79 to complete a 10-wicket haul for the match.

The defeat marked a disappointing start for South Africa's World Test Championship title defense, beginning a new two-year cycle with a loss.
