Danny Rohl has been appointed as the new manager of Rangers, replacing the sacked Russell Martin. Rohl joins the Scottish Premiership club on a two-and-a-half-year deal, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his time at Sheffield Wednesday.
Rohl's appointment comes after a turbulent period for Rangers, who have struggled to find consistency this season. The team currently sits sixth in the Premiership standings, 13 points behind leaders Hearts. Despite the challenges, Rohl is confident that he and his team can make a positive impact and help Rangers compete in all four competitions.
The 36-year-old German coach has impressed with his tactical acumen and leadership skills, having previously worked under renowned managers such as Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich and Ralf Rangnick at RB Leipzig. Rohl's experience in high-pressure environments will be invaluable to Rangers as they look to turn their season around.
Rohl's first match in charge will be against Norwegian side SK Brann in the Europa League on Thursday. The match will be a crucial test for Rohl and his team, but they are determined to make a strong impression and set the tone for the rest of the season.
Welcome to Rangers, Danny Röhl.

Russell Martin, the former Southampton manager, was sacked after just 17 matches in charge, having previously held assistant manager roles at RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich, and the Germany national team. However, according to available information, Russell Martin managed 73 matches for Southampton before being dismissed.
“It is a huge privilege to be taking on the role of head coach at such an incredible club, recognised around the world,” said Rohl.
“I know it has been a difficult start to the season, but there is still so much to play for in four competitions, and my staff and I will give it everything to reward the supporters and the club.”
Rangers' sporting director Kevin Thelwell praised Danny Rohl, saying, “Danny has the qualities needed to succeed here, along with being an exceptional coach.”
“He has worked in some of the most demanding football environments in the world, where winning is the only expectation, and we believe that background has prepared him for Rangers,” he said.
