AIK's European hopes remain alive, but their momentum faltered as they drew 2-2 with Hacken...
Mjallby made history on Sunday afternoon with a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Norrkoping, setting a new points record in Sweden's top-flight football league. The newly-crowned Allsvenskan champions had already secured their first major trophy by beating IFK Goteborg 2-1 on Monday.
The team received a hero's welcome upon their return to Strandvallen, and they lived up to the occasion. Mjallby's win took them to 69 points, surpassing the previous record of 67 points set by Malmo in 2010.
Norrkoping took the lead just before halftime, with Christoffer Nyman scoring after a rebound. The initial shot was saved by Noel Tornqvist, but Nyman was quick to capitalize on the loose ball.

The match was leveled 10 minutes into the second half when Tom Pettersson volleyed home the equalizer. The goal came from a goalmouth scramble, with the ball falling kindly to Pettersson, who made no mistake with his finish.
Mjallby completed the dramatic turnaround with a quarter of the match remaining, thanks to Herman Johansson's pinpoint cross to the back post, where Jacob Bergstrom used his strength to bundle the ball over the line, securing the win and the points record.
The 2-1 victory marked the third consecutive match where both Pettersson and Bergstrom scored, highlighting their crucial contributions to Mjallby's success. With two more games to play, the champions have a chance to break the 70-point barrier. In stark contrast, Norrkoping's struggles continued with a fourth consecutive defeat, leaving them just three points clear of the relegation zone.

IFK Goteborg bounced back from consecutive losses to the league leaders with a convincing 3-0 win over Halmstad, moving to within a point of the European spots. Tobias Heintz opened the scoring before halftime, and Kolbeinn Thordarsson doubled the lead shortly after the break, capitalizing on a Heintz assist.
Substitute Benjamin Brantlind sealed the win with a late goal, leaving Halmstad to rue a second loss in three matches. With two games remaining, Halmstad are still five points clear of the relegation zone, meaning safety is not yet guaranteed for the mid-table side.
AIK's European hopes remain alive, but their momentum faltered as they drew 2-2 with Hacken, extending their winless streak to five matches. Filip Helander's early strike gave the visitors the lead, but AIK responded with Erik Flataker's goal and an own goal from Adam Lundqvist, turning the game in their favor by the 23rd minute.
The draw keeps AIK just two points behind Goteborg in the standings, meaning they still have a chance to qualify for European competition. However, the inability to secure a win in their fifth consecutive match raises concerns about their consistency and ability to close out games.
AIK's fortunes seemed to slip away when Simon Gustafson missed a penalty in the 69th minute, a moment that could have sealed the win. However, the momentum shifted when Adrian Svanback equalized for Hacken soon after, salvaging a point for the visitors.
Despite finishing ninth in the league, Hacken's Svenska Cupen success earlier in the season has already secured their European place, rendering their league position less critical. The point earned today doesn't change their overall standing, but it adds to their momentum heading into the final stretch.

Elfsborg's hopes of European football were officially extinguished after a 4-0 thrashing at Sirius, leaving them eight points outside the top three. Isak Bjerkebo opened the scoring in the 27th minute, and Henrik Castegren doubled the lead right on halftime.
Sirius sealed their league safety and dealt a significant blow to Elfsborg's ambitions with two late goals from Leo Walta in the final 15 minutes. The win leaves Sirius seven points clear of the relegation zone with six points remaining to play for, while Elfsborg are now seven points ahead of the team below them and can secure a top-half finish with just one point.
