England forward Marcus Rashford is keen on making his loan move to Barcelona permanent, praising the club's rich history and expressing his enjoyment under coach Hansi Flick.

“People forget this, but 23 years of my life was with Manchester United. So sometimes you just need a change...”

Rashford's contract with Manchester United is set to run until 2028, but his prospects of staying at Old Trafford seem uncertain following a disagreement with manager Ruben Amorim last year. However, under the guidance of Barcelona coach Hansi Flick, the 27-year-old has rediscovered his impressive form.

When asked about his potential stay in Barcelona, Rashford expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “For sure. I'm enjoying this football club and I think for anybody who loves football, Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game. For a player it is an honour.”

Marcus Rashford has made a strong impact at Barcelona since joining on loan from Manchester United, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 12 appearances across all competitions. As he prepares for his first El Clásico against Real Madrid, Rashford reflected on the change of scenery, saying, “People forget this, but 23 years of my life was with Manchester United. So sometimes you just need a change. I think maybe this is the case with me and I'm enjoying everything.”

Rashford's move to Barcelona has clearly brought out the best in him, and he's eager to make a lasting impression in the big game. “I'm enjoying this football club, and I think for anybody who loves football, Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game. For a player, it is an honour,” he expressed, hinting at his desire to stay beyond the loan deal.

Marcus Rashford is eager to turn his loan spell at Barcelona into a permanent move, citing the change he needed after spending his entire career in England. The England forward has been thriving at Barcelona, scoring five goals in 12 matches, including a brace against Olympiakos in the Champions League.

Rashford made a conscious decision to leave Manchester United, where he spent 24 years of his life, and is now enjoying the new environment and culture at Barcelona. Barcelona are covering his wages during the loan spell, with an option to buy set at around €30 million. Rashford's impressive performances have likely increased Barcelona's chances of activating the buy option.
