Bayern Munich's manager, Vincent Kompany, has extended his contract with the club until 2029. This new deal adds two years to his original contract, which was set to expire in June 2027.
Vincent Kompany joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024, taking over from Thomas Tuchel. In his debut season, he successfully led the team to the German championship title. Furthermore, he secured the Super Cup victory at the start of the current campaign, showcasing his impressive leadership skills. The extension reflects the club's confidence in Kompany's vision and ability to drive success.
“I am grateful, feel honoured and would like to thank FC Bayern for the trust and the working environment they have offered me from day one,” said Kompany. “It feels like I've been here much longer and that I understand the club well.

Bayern Munich's management board expressed high praise for Kompany's work, with President Herbert Hainer highlighting the contract extension as a “strong vote of confidence” in the manager. The extension ensures continuity and stability for the team, aligning with the club's vision for the future.
“Vincent Kompany is held in high regard by the players, the club management and the fans. We are happy about the early extension of our cooperation.”
Director of Sport Max Eberl was also delighted: “When we appointed Vinny, we had a clear vision of our shared path and he quickly proved that he can help FC Bayern move forward - both on and off the pitch.
“He is a role model who unites players, fans and everyone at the club, and we want to build something long-term with him.”
