Tottenham Hotspur's manager, Thomas Frank, confirmed that striker Dominic Solanke won't play in the upcoming Champions League match against Bodo/Glimt due to ankle surgery. Solanke has been dealing with a persistent ankle issue that required a minor surgical procedure. Frank mentioned that they'll have more information on Solanke's recovery time after the international break, but he doesn't expect it to be a long-term absence.
“He's not ready. We'll have more news on the time frame after the international break, but I don't expect it to be long,” the Danish coach told reporters.
Thomas Frank also confirmed that defender Cristian Romero will miss the upcoming Champions League match against Bodo/Glimt as a precautionary measure. Romero was absent from training earlier in the day, but Frank downplayed concerns about the player's health, stating it was “just a precaution.”

Frank also discussed the team's approach to the match, citing the unique challenges posed by Bodo's artificial pitch. “We have one training session, and we want to focus on tactics. The surface is different here, and we need to adapt,” he said. Despite missing key players, Frank commended Bodo/Glimt's growth in European competition, describing them as “fantastic” and highlighting their impressive journey from a smaller club to competing in Europe.

Tottenham's manager Thomas Frank praised Bodo/Glimt's progress in European competition, noting their growth from a smaller club to a formidable opponent. Although Spurs eliminated Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League semifinals last season en route to the final, Frank acknowledged the Norwegian team's impressive development.
“They're fantastic. Their story is unique... building a smaller club into a force in Norway and now competing in Europe, that's impressive,” he said.
