Cagliari outplayed Parma, capitalizing on scoring opportunities with ruthless efficiency. Yerry Mina and Matteo Felici both scored tap-ins after the woodwork was rattled, showcasing Cagliari's clinical finishing.
Both teams had a similar starting point, with one point from their first two matches. Cagliari were without injured players Zito Luvumbo, Leonardo Pavoletti, and Boris Radunovic, but Andrea Belotti got the nod upfront for his debut. Parma, meanwhile, were without several key players, including Hernani and Matija Frigan, but Patrick Cutrone started up front after impressing off the bench against Atalanta.
Cagliari's goalkeeper, Elia Caprile, made a spectacular double save in the eighth minute. First, he denied Mateo Pellegrino, who had cleverly stolen the ball from Yerry Mina, and then he made an even more remarkable stop on Patrick Cutrone's follow-up attempt.
Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile was again tested by Patrick Cutrone's angled drive, which came after Adrian Bernabé intercepted a loose midfield pass. However, it was Cagliari who capitalized on their chances, taking the lead when a corner kick wasn't cleared properly. Adam Obert's cross to the back post found Andrea Belotti, whose header was mishandled by Zion Suzuki, allowing Yerry Mina to tap in the rebound
In the second half, Cagliari's goalkeeper Elia Caprile made another crucial save, palming a deflected Abdoulaye Ndiaye header around the near post. Parma had other chances, with Gianluca Gaetano's low-driven shot hitting the upright after Sebastiano Esposito played a ball over the top. Ndiaye showed his commitment, putting himself in harm's way to block a Belotti strike. Despite Parma's efforts, it was Cutrone who came closest to scoring with a glancing header that narrowly sailed wide of the far post.

Parma's Adrian Bernabé had a left-footed curler flash just past the far post, but the highlight of the match came when Gaetano Oristanio, playing against his former club, controlled a pull-back from Pontus Almqvist and smashed a half-volley onto the bar from 12 yards.
Cagliari's clinical edge paid off again, as they doubled their lead soon after Parma's close call. Michel Adopo's angled drive hit the inside of the far post after clipping Zion Suzuki's ankle, and Mattia Felici was on hand to tap in the rebound. Parma did manage to score in the 84th minute, but it was a consolation goal, with Patrick Cutrone netting from the penalty spot after Mateo Pellegrino fouled Sebastiano Luperto.
