Schlotterbeck, who suffered a serious knee injury in April, has been training with the team and is expected to start against Bilbao.


Dortmund's recent performance has been impressive, with a four-game winning streak in the Bundesliga, including a 2-0 victory over Mainz 05, where they kept four clean sheets. Coach Niko Kovac is optimistic about Schlotterbeck's return, stating that the team is determined to defend better after their 4-4 draw with Juventus. Kovac also confirmed that top striker Serhou Guirassy will be available for the match after recovering from an injury.


With Schlotterbeck's return, Dortmund aims to strengthen its defense and make a strong statement in the Champions League.

“Serhou completed the final training and it all went well,” Kovac said. “I don't think there will be any surprise so it looks like he will be ready for tomorrow.”
