Real Betis climbed to sixth place in LaLiga after securing a convincing 2-0 home victory over Osasuna. Cucho Hernandez played a key role, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the dominant win at the Estadio de La Cartuja. The victory extended Osasuna's winless away streak to seven games.

The match got off to a slow start, with both sides struggling to create clear chances. In the first 15 minutes, Antony had two wayward efforts, but neither team could find their rhythm. This led to speculation about another tight game, especially given Betis' tendency to draw, having already recorded four stalemates this season, including a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest in their midweek European fixture. However, Betis ultimately broke through to secure a comfortable win.

The match's complexion changed in the 19th minute when Pablo Fornals won the ball in the Osasuna penalty area and played a pass back to Abde Ezzalzouli, who was helped by Cucho Hernandez' movement. Ezzalzouli then slotted the ball into the empty net as goalkeeper Sergio Herrera committed to the play.

Betis maintained their dominance as the first half progressed. Cucho Hernandez tested Herrera's gloves with a dipping 25-yard shot, and the visitors soon gave away possession in their own half. This led to another scoring opportunity for Ezzalzouli, but Herrera made a crucial save with his foot at the near post to deny the winger's effort.

Betis sealed their dominance with a second goal seven minutes before halftime. Pablo Fornals intercepted a pass and found Cucho Hernandez at the edge of the box, who fired a low, powerful strike past Sergio Herrera.

Osasuna struggled to create chances in the first half, with Budimir's looping header going wide late on being their best opportunity. The visitors' poor form away from home continued to be a concern, having conceded after halftime in their previous eight away matches. This trend did not bode well for Osasuna as the match headed into the second half.

After the break, Sergio Herrera made crucial saves on powerful shots from Sofyan Amrabat and Antony within the first 10 minutes. This came after Osasuna's best chance of the match so far, when Victor Munoz beat several defenders and forced Pau Lopez into a save.

Despite both teams making substitutions to inject life into the second half, Betis rarely threatened to add to their lead. Osasuna's efforts were equally lackluster, with Budimir's off-target shot with 15 minutes remaining being their most notable attempt. The match ended with Betis securing a comfortable 2-0 win, extending their unbeaten streak in this fixture to five straight seasons and marking the first time they had won back-to-back home games in LaLiga since March. Osasuna, on the other hand, suffered their third consecutive loss, continuing their slow start to the season.
