Remco Evenepoel is set to leave Soudal Quick-Step for Bora-Hansgrohe in 2026, the team announced. The 25-year-old Belgian cyclist, who won Olympic gold in the road race and time trial, will join Bora-Hansgrohe after the 2025 season.
“Representatives of Remco informed the team’s management that he did not wish to discuss an extension of his current agreement,” Soudal Quick-Step said in a statement.

Remco Evenepoel was involved in a serious training crash in December, hitting an open car door in Belgium and sustaining multiple injuries, including fractures, a dislocated collarbone, and lung contusions.

Remco Evenepoel overcame a serious injury that required surgery, making a successful return to competition in April. He recently withdrew from the Tour de France during the 14th stage while sitting third overall.
