Carlos Alcaraz won his second Queen's Club title, defeating Jiri Lehecka 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2. This strong performance sends a statement ahead of Alcaraz's Wimbledon title defense.

Alcaraz extended his winning streak to 18 matches, but Lehecka gave him a tough fight, showcasing his rising talent and underlining his credentials as a force to watch.

Alcaraz seized the initiative, breaking Lehecka at 5-5 to take the first set 7-5 in 45 minutes. Lehecka fought back, showcasing his skills in a tight second-set tiebreaker, which he won with clinical precision.

Alcaraz pulled away in the decider, surging to a 4-1 lead as Lehecka's energy waned on the sun-kissed Andy Murray Arena courts in west London.

Alcaraz sealed the win with another break, celebrating with a triumphant roar as Lehecka's backhand sailed into the net.

The victory sets Alcaraz up perfectly for Wimbledon, where he'll be the heavy favorite. Despite being seeded second behind Jannik Sinner, Alcaraz's current form makes him a strong contender for a third consecutive title.

Alcaraz has dominated since April, winning 27 of 28 matches, with his sole loss coming against Holger Rune in the Barcelona final. He celebrated his fifth title of the year with Sunday's win.

“This is really special, this trophy and this tournament for me,” Alcaraz said, holding the trophy. “Jiri had an incredible week, and his level is very high, and it's a nightmare to play against you.”

Lehecka, known for his powerful ball-striking and physique reminiscent of Ivan Lendl, had a strong run to the final, beating Jack Draper in the semis. He started confidently against Alcaraz, having previously won in Doha earlier in the year.

The match was evenly contested until 5-5 in the first set, when Lehecka's errors allowed Alcaraz to capitalize and take the set 7-5.

The second set mirrored the first in intensity, but Lehecka edged ahead in the tiebreak, securing a mini-break.

Alcaraz fought back with an incredible point at 3-4, showcasing his athleticism by sprinting to retrieve a drop shot and then chasing down a lob to level the tiebreak.

Lehecka held firm, serving an ace to stay in the tiebreak. Alcaraz's double fault at 5-5 gave Lehecka the opportunity to level the match, which he seized.

However, Lehecka couldn't sustain the momentum, and Alcaraz quickly regained control, surging ahead to ultimately secure the win.

“The goal this week was just to compete and have a few matches on the grass, and this final was a gift for me,” Alcaraz said.

“I just enjoyed the moment and the final, I felt like I was in control most of the time.”
