The Winnipeg Jets completed a stunning comeback, defeating the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in double overtime to advance in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Winnipeg Jets staged a dramatic comeback to defeat the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in double overtime, advancing in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Despite the Jets' dominance in the first six games, the Blues took an early lead.

The Blues scored just 70 seconds in, with Colton Parayko and Jordan Kyrou combining beautifully to set up Kyrou's goal past Connor Hellebuyck.

The Blues doubled their lead six minutes into the game when Kyle Connor lost control of the puck, allowing Mathieu Joseph to capitalize. Joseph's shot found the net, giving St. Louis a 2-0 advantage.

The Winnipeg Jets narrowed the deficit midway through the second period. Cole Perfetti scored from a tight angle, thanks to a quick pass from Kyle Connor, who notched one of his three assists. The goal reignited the Jets' chances.

But, with just a few seconds left in the period, St. Louis went back up by two. Another giveaway proved costly for the hosts, as Nathan Walker grabbed the puck and brought it over the blue line. Finding Radek Faksa, the Czech international put his attempt over the diving Luke Schenn and past Hellebuyck to recover the two-goal lead.

The Jets had a total of 19 shots in the third period in a desperate attempt to keep their season alive. It took until the final two minutes of regulation before they could nab one back. Having pulled their goaltender in favour of a sixth attacker, Neal Pionk found Vladislav Namestnikov on the wing, who put his shot into the goal from close range.

St. Louis regained its two-goal advantage with seconds left in the second period. A Winnipeg turnover allowed Nathan Walker to spark a counterattack, and Radek Faksa scored past Connor Hellebuyck.

The Jets launched a desperate third-period attack, firing 19 shots. With their goalie pulled, Neal Pionk set up Vladislav Namestnikov, who scored from close range in the final two minutes, cutting the deficit to one goal.

The Winnipeg Jets capitalized on their home advantage, prevailing in second overtime in what became the third-longest Game 7 in NHL history. Kyle Connor set up the winning goal with his third assist, finding Neal Pionk, whose shot was deflected by Adam Lowry.

The Presidents Trophy winners advance to face the Dallas Stars, who also pushed their series to seven games. According to the schedule, the series starts on May 8 or May 10, with the exact game format yet to be clarified by the provided sources; however, the first game is set for the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg.
