Osasuna took the lead in the 25th minute when Alejandro Catena powerfully headed home Bryan Zaragoza's corner kick.

Atletico intensified their attack after the half-hour mark, nearly equalizing when Sergio Herrera made a smart save on Alexander Sorloth's close-range header.
