The loss meant Denmark couldn't secure a win against Indonesia in the crucial group match. Despite a promising start, Denmark's team struggled to maintain momentum, with Indonesia dominating the subsequent matches to claim victory.
Indonesia secured a 3-1 victory over their opponents after four matches, topping the group and advancing to the quarterfinals alongside Denmark. As group runner-up, Denmark faces a tougher challenge in the next phase.
Denmark's mixed doubles duo, Jesper Toft and Amalie Magelund, gave their team an excellent start, winning their match against Rinov Rivaldy and Gloria Widjaja with a score of 22-20, 21-23, 21-16 in a closely contested game.
Anders Antonsen fell short of expectations, losing to Alwi Farhan (17-21, 21-15, 17-21) despite being the clear favorite. The 19-year-old Indonesian player outperformed Antonsen, narrowing Denmark's lead.
Line Kjaersfeldt struggled against Putri Kusuma Wardani, losing with a remarkably low score. The world number 11 dominated the match.
The men's doubles duo, Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup, couldn't turn the tide for Denmark, losing to Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Daniel Marthin (16-21, 18-21). This was their second loss to the Indonesian pair, following their encounter at the All England in March.
