Stephon Castle, the San Antonio Spurs guard, has been named the NBA Rookie of the Year, following teammate Victor Wembanyama's win last season. Castle received 92 first-place votes, totaling 482 points, and was awarded the Wilt Chamberlain Trophy for his outstanding performance.
Castle's impressive maiden campaign saw him average 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, while leading all rookies in points per game, assists, and steals with 74. He also led the Castrol Rising Stars team to a spot in the NBA All-Star Game and was named the game's MVP.
