Como secured a 1-0 win over Genoa, mathematically confirming their Serie A survival with four games remaining. Gabriel Strefezza's goal was enough to give the Azzurri all three points.


Both teams had been pushing for mid-table comfort, and the win marked a significant milestone for Como. The hosts were on a three-match winning streak but faced challenges with key players suspended or injured, including Maxi Perrone, Sergi Roberto, and Assane Diao. Genoa also had several players out, including Mario Balotelli and Maxwel Cornet.


Genoa struggled to find their target in the first half, despite creating promising chances. Lior Kasa and Honest Ahanor had notable opportunities, with Kasa's early effort sailing over the crossbar and Ahanor hitting the post after capitalizing on a misplaced long pass by Genoa goalkeeper Nicola Leali.


Morten Thorsby had a goal disallowed, but Como's defense ultimately held firm until Gabriel Strefezza scored the decisive goal, securing a 1-0 win for the Azzurri.


Como created promising chances, including a curled effort from Jonathan Ikoné that was deflected and a misplaced header from Edoardo Goldaniga in a prime scoring position.




The pace of the game slowed in the second half, but Como took the lead through Gabriel Strefezza, who capitalized on a swift counter-attack set up by Patrick Cutrone. This marked Cutrone's fourth assist of the Serie A season.


Genoa attempted to change the game's course with attacking substitutions, including top scorer Andrea Pinamonti. However, their efforts were in vain as Como maintained control and secured a 1-0 win. Despite failing to create clear-cut chances, Como's lead was never in doubt, and they sealed their fourth consecutive victory and Serie A survival.
