This milestone makes Team Esbjerg the second Danish team to qualify for the women's Final 4, ensuring strong Danish representation in the prestigious tournament.
Team Esbjerg secured a spot in the Champions League semifinals with a 26-22 win over CSM Bucuresti, coached by Denmark's future national team coach Helle Thomsen. After losing the first leg by one goal, Esbjerg's victory resulted in a three-goal aggregate win.
This marks the first time since the 2013/2014 season that two Danish teams will compete in the Final 4. Team Esbjerg will join Odense Handball, who eliminated Ferencvaros on Saturday, at the Final Four weekend in Budapest at the end of May.
