Aston Villa's Marcus Rashford expected to miss rest of season due to hamstring injury. Get the latest updates.

Marcus Rashford is set to miss the remainder of Aston Villa's season due to a hamstring injury, according to reports. The forward was omitted from Unai Emery's squad for the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace.

Emery had indicated Rashford would be out for “some weeks” following the match, and the injury now appears more severe than initially thought, potentially ending his involvement with Villa for the rest of the campaign.

With Villa eliminated from the Champions League and FA Cup, their focus shifts to the Premier League and securing a European spot next season. Rashford's injury setback comes as the team prepares for four remaining league matches.

The 27-year-old's future at Manchester United remains uncertain, with three years left on his contract. Despite being sidelined under Ruben Amorim, Rashford's loan spell at Villa had shown promise, scoring four goals and providing six assists. He recently earned a recall to the England squad under Thomas Tuchel.
