Transfer: Daniel Maldini Joins Atalanta from Monza on Long-Term Contract
Atalanta have signed Italian forward Daniel Maldini from Monza for around €11 million, with the 23-year-old committing to a contract until June 2029.
Atalanta has confirmed the permanent signing of 23-year-old forward Daniel Maldini from Monza. The Bergamo-based team released a statement announcing the transfer, welcoming Maldini to the club.
According to Italian media reports, Atalanta paid approximately 11 million euros to secure Maldini's services. Notably, half of this fee will go to AC Milan, who sold Maldini to Monza in January last year.
Maldini has reportedly signed a contract with Atalanta until June 2029. This transfer bolsters Atalanta's attacking options as they sit third in Serie A, seven points behind league leaders Napoli, ahead of their home fixture against Torino.

Daniel Maldini made history in October by becoming the third generation of his family to represent Italy. He came on as a substitute against Israel in the Nations League, following in the footsteps of his father, Paolo Maldini, and grandfather, Cesare Maldini.
Paolo Maldini, widely regarded as one of Italy's greatest-ever footballers, earned 126 caps for his country between 1988 and 2002. Although his appearance record was later surpassed by Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon, Paolo Maldini's legacy remains iconic in Italian football.
