Transfer News: Manchester United Considers Selling Garnacho to Fund Mbeumo Move

Manchester United may sell Alejandro Garnacho to fund a move for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, with the Red Devils considering offers for all first-team players.

Manchester United is reportedly considering selling 20-year-old forward Alejandro Garnacho this winter, with the potential proceeds funding a move for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo. According to the Daily Express, United has set its sights on Mbeumo, despite interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United in recent months.

Mbeumo, a 25-year-old Cameroon international, has impressed this season, scoring 13 goals in 20 league games. With his contract entering its final year in July, speculation surrounding his future at Brentford has grown. The Daily Star reports that United head coach Ruben Amorim is an admirer of Mbeumo's talents.

United's pursuit of Mbeumo is contingent on Garnacho securing a move away from the club or Marcus Rashford departing during the current transfer window. If either scenario unfolds, the Red Devils may use the generated funds to bring Mbeumo to Old Trafford, bolstering their attacking options.

Manchester United is reportedly open to offers for all first-team players, including Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho. Garnacho's reduced role under head coach Ruben Amorim suggests that he may not be part of the club's long-term plans.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has downplayed transfer rumors surrounding Bryan Mbeumo, particularly with regards to interest from Arsenal. When asked about a potential January move, Frank replied, “In January? I would say good luck. We love Bryan. He loves playing here. He has had a fantastic season, so nothing will happen.” However, it remains to be seen whether a substantial offer from United in the summer could tempt Brentford to part with their prized forward.
