Manchester City are reportedly preparing a significant offer for Palmeiras youngster Vitor Reis, with a bid of 40 million euros in the works. The 18-year-old centre-back, who is set to turn 19 soon, currently has a contract with Palmeiras until the end of 2028.
According to UOL, Manchester City have already secured a verbal agreement with Vitor Reis, paving the way for a potential transfer. Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has added that Manchester City representatives are currently in Brazil to formalize the proposal in a meeting with Palmeiras officials.
Manchester City are eager to bolster their defense and are pushing to complete the signing of Vitor Reis in January. The young centre-back has been with Palmeiras since 2016, joining the club's youth academy at the age of 10. A move to Manchester City would mark a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
Vitor Reis made a seamless transition to Palmeiras' first team in mid-2024, quickly cementing his place in the starting lineup. His impressive debut season saw him make 22 appearances, with 20 of those coming as a starter. Reis also showcased his attacking prowess, scoring two goals in his inaugural campaign.
