Serie A: Che Adams Scores Brace as Torino Defeat Cagliari 2-0

Che Adams scored a brace to lead Torino to a 2-0 victory over Cagliari in Serie A, securing the team's first win since early December.

Che Adams scored a brace to lead Torino to a 2-0 victory over Cagliari in Serie A on Friday evening. This win marked Torino's first victory since early December, with Paolo Vanoli's team rising to the challenge. Adams wasted no time in making his mark, scoring his first goal of the evening in just the sixth minute.

The Scotland international's goal was the result of a well-worked Torino move. Samuele Ricci carried the ball to the byline before cutting it back to Adams, who took a touch to control the ball before firing a shot that came off the crossbar and into the net. The goal gave Torino a 1-0 lead, and they looked to build on that advantage throughout the match.

Adams's strike partner, Yann Karamoh, also had a chance to double Torino's lead with half an hour on the clock. However, it was Valentino Lazaro who thought he had scored his first goal in Granata colours immediately after the start of the second half. Unfortunately for Lazaro, his effort was later ruled out after a VAR check, keeping the score at 1-0.

Torino continued to push for another goal in the second half, and they had several chances to extend their lead. The crossbar was struck, and Elia Caprile was forced to make a save to deny Adrien Tameze in the 53rd minute. Despite these missed opportunities, Torino's persistence eventually paid off, and they were able to seal the win.

The victory keeps Torino in 11th place in the Serie A table, but they are now level on points with Udinese and just one point behind Roma in ninth. Che Adams sealed the win for Torino with his second goal of the evening, which came just after the hour mark. Karamoh did well to bring the ball under control in the area before hitting the upright with his effort, and Adams was on hand to tuck away the rebound and secure the 2-0 win.
