Quinten Post Becomes Fifth Dutch Player to Record 20-Point Game in NBA History

Quinten Post made history by becoming the first Dutch player to score 20 points in an NBA game since 2007, leading the Warriors to a win over the Bulls.

Quinten Post, a 24-year-old Dutch player for the Golden State Warriors, achieved a milestone by recording his first 20-point game in the NBA. This feat marks the first time a Dutch player has scored 20 points in an NBA game since Dan Gadzuric in 2007.

In the Warriors' 131-106 win over the Chicago Bulls, Post scored 20 points, with 15 of those points coming from three-point range. He also contributed 5 rebounds and 3 assists in just 20 minutes of playing time.

Post's performance is a significant achievement, making him the fifth Dutch player in NBA history to record a 20-point game. He joins an elite group of Dutch players, including Dan Gadzuric, Francisco Elson, Rik Smits, and Swen Nater.

The 7-foot center was drafted by the Warriors from Boston College in the last NBA Draft, becoming the eighth Dutch player in NBA history. Post made his NBA debut on December 27th in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

With starting center Draymond Green sidelined due to a calf injury, Post has received opportunities from Warriors coach Steve Kerr and has shown promise. Prior to his 20-point game, Post had scored 9 points against Boston and 5 points with 6 rebounds against the Sacramento Kings.

Post is one of three Dutch players currently in the NBA, alongside Malevy Leons, who briefly played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Jesse Edwards, who was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2024.
