Potter Warns of 'Complicated' Transfer Window as West Ham Seek Reinforcements

West Ham United manager Graham Potter has admitted that the club faces a 'complicated' transfer window. With several key players injured, Potter is under pressure to bring in reinforcements. Read the latest on West Ham's transfer plans.

West Ham United manager Graham Potter has cautioned that the upcoming transfer window will be a challenging one for the club. This admission comes after Fulham's Marco Silva dismissed speculation about Rodrigo Muniz joining West Ham.

Just a week into his tenure at the London Stadium, Potter is already deeply involved in the club's pursuit of new signings. The Hammers' attacking capabilities have been severely impacted by the long-term injuries sustained by Niclas Fullkrug, Jarrod Bowen, and Michail Antonio.

According to Potter, West Ham's board will provide support for the right signings, but he also acknowledged the difficulty in securing top talent. The former Chelsea manager recognizes that fulfilling the club's ambitions during this transfer window will be no easy task.

Graham Potter, West Ham United's manager, addressed the media ahead of the team's clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday. He discussed the club's approach to the transfer window, stating: “Every club is the same, you're always looking to try to improve, whether that's externally or internally.” Potter emphasized that while the club is open to making signings, they must be the right fit. He added: “It's not to say that we're not looking, it's not to say that if something comes up we can't do it because we can and there's support to do it. But it has to be the right thing for us as well. It's a complicated window...” With three games in eight days, Potter's immediate focus is on the players currently at the club, saying: “...so you can imagine in a week where you've got three games in eight days, my focus is on the players that are here.”

Silva Insists Muniz is Not for Sale Amid Transfer Speculation

Just a day after West Ham's 3-2 victory over Fulham, Cottagers boss Marco Silva reiterated that Rodrigo Muniz is not for sale. When asked if any clubs had contacted Fulham about the Brazilian forward, Silva responded: “No, not at all.” He firmly stated that Fulham is not open to listening to offers for Muniz, saying: “We are not open to listen to anything about Rodrigo, and it's better if no one contacts us because it will be a quick and easy answer from us. There's no chance at all to even start to talk to clubs.” Muniz, 23, has scored four goals in 22 games across all competitions this season.
