Brown's most recent stint was with the Chicago Bears, where he took on multiple roles. Initially, he stepped in as the interim offensive coordinator after the team parted ways with Shane Waldron. Later, he was promoted to interim head coach on November 29th, following the dismissal of Matt Eberflus. During his tenure as interim head coach, Brown led the Bears to a 1-4 record, with their sole victory coming against their historic rival, the Green Bay Packers, in the final game of the season.
Brown will now join the New England Patriots' coaching staff, led by head coach Vrabel, as the team looks to rebuild around quarterback Drake Maye. The Patriots are seeking to revitalize their franchise, and Brown's expertise as a tight ends coach and passing game coordinator will be invaluable in this endeavor.
