Manchester United Set Sights on PSG's Nuno Mendes for Summer Transfer

Manchester United are eyeing Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes as their top target for the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have identified Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes as their top target for the upcoming summer transfer window. The 22-year-old has caught the attention of Manchester United's scouts and their new coach, Ruben Amorim.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United will make a strong push to sign Nuno Mendes in the summer. The Portuguese defender, who previously played for Sporting Lisbon, is reportedly the Red Devils' priority signing for the next transfer window.

Nuno Mendes' current contract with PSG is set to expire in June 2026, and negotiations for an extension have stalled, according to RMC Sport. With only a year and a half remaining on his contract, Manchester United may see an opportunity to lure the talented left-back to Old Trafford.

According to the same source, Nuno Mendes is reportedly open to leaving Paris Saint-Germain next summer, and Manchester United's interest in signing him has piqued his attention. The prospect of joining the Red Devils is said to be an appealing one for the Portuguese left-back.

Nuno Mendes' potential move to Manchester United could be facilitated by his existing relationship with the club's new coach, Ruben Amorim. The two are familiar with each other, having worked together at Sporting Lisbon when Mendes was a young player. Amorim's influence may play a significant role in convincing Mendes to join Manchester United.

Mendes' rapid rise to prominence began at Sporting Lisbon, where he became the first-choice left-back at just 18 years old. This opportunity arose after Marcos Acuna's departure to Seville in Spain, and Mendes seized it, demonstrating his potential as a talented young defender.
